Purple Star School Designation

The Purple Star Award for military-friendly schools recognizes schools 
that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our 
nation’s military. Schools that earn the award will receive a special Purple 
Star recognition to display onsite.

Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program

IMPORTANT:  On April 15, 2011, Congress eliminated funding for the Byrd Scholarship Program. Funding for new and current recipients of the Byrd Scholarship is no longer available for school years 2011-2012 and beyond.
